I admired this film
It is the true story of Nevenka, who was on stage at the London Film Festival premiere, and whom we applaud for the courage it certainly took to take her own destiny into her own hands during that difficult ordeal in the 1990s.
Her value is only realised by the usefulness she can bring to them: as a scapegoat, ghostwriter, trophy lover
Nevenka has the openness, seriousness and honesty of youth; she is capable, intelligent and hard-working, but she evolves in a world ruled by men and for men.
It is not surprising that the exploration of her assets soon turns sexual
It is a harrowing but tense and superbly portrayed film, and for those, like me, who were alive at the time, it is a haunting mirror reflecting back our past lives, which we can only retract and shudder in shame.
