Growing up in the Amazon jungle, Autumn formed an unlikely friendship – a missing jaguar named Hope. When a tragic event forces Autumn to leave Hope and head to New York City, she dreams for years of returning to the rainforest and her friend. At the age of 14, accustomed to city life, Autumn learns that her home village is under threat from animal traffickers and decides that she must return to the Amazon, to her beloved jaguar. Anja (Emily Bett Rickards), Autumn’s charming, clumsy biology teacher, tries unsuccessfully to dissuade her from this ill-conceived plan. Together with Anja, Autumn sets off on a journey to meet Hope and save her from those who want to destroy the rainforest and the animals inhabiting it.
